Reptoman Sculpture

This is a sculpture that I did in my art class last month. I really think it came out cool, so I decided to post it here. The assignment was to make a 10 inch bust of a humanoid creature. I was randomly sketching concepts, and I thought of him. ^_^ First, I sculpted him using water clay. Then I made a latex cast of the sculpture, which captured all the little details I had done. Then when the latex was ready, I poured in a stone mold mix and I had an exact copy of the original sculpture. And the best part is that I can make as many copies as I want. After that I spray painted him black and then lightly brushed him with gold paint to hit the high areas and it gave it a gold statue look. I am extremely happy with how this turned out. In fact, I'm so happy with the look that I will be using him as a reference when I redesign the Iron Dragon's armor (I've been doing a lot of redesigning lately). Anyway, enjoy.
